Donations

Our journey

The Centro de Investigación en Bioingenieria A.C. (CIBAC) was founded in 2013 to minimize the inequality in physical rehabilitation services in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with motor disabilities through research and innovative technology.

Why should you donate?

CIBAC improves the quality of life of low-income people with motor disabilities through access to quality rehabilitation services, applied research, and innovative technology.  We support our mission with recovery fees from our patients, consulting fees from our clients and donations from individuals and associations.  To keep our fees affordable for our patients we rely heavily on donations.  Most of the patients we treat face chronic disabilities that require long-term therapy to achieve improvements in their functionality and quality of life.  Your donation today, regardless of its amount, can change the life of one of our patients.

Lalito

At age 2, Lalito was involved in a car accident where he lost his grandmother. Before the accident, Lalito was a healthy kid. It was a miracle that Lalito survived the accident since he had multiple fractures in his skull. However, the accident left Lalito with sequels in its right-side extremities. Because Lalito is still in a growing stage, it is essential that he continues in intensive therapy to minimize deformities, improve his gait, and rehabilitate his right hand.

Kenia

Letter from Kenia’s mom:

My daugther’s name is Kenia Berenice Moreno Domínguez, she has a bachelor in bussiness administration, and is a single mother of a 4-year-old girl. Kenia used to work in a car dealership. In December 20th, 2019, after finishing her work shift, Kenia was impacted by a vehicle. 7 days after the accident she started with seizures. She was hospitalized at the IMSS hospital. After 13 days, she was diagnosed with Locked-In Syndrome (a.k.a Pseudocoma). She was released from the hospital but her prognosis was not favorable.

Currently, Kenia is going to CIBAC for physical and neurological rehabilitation. Our family would like for Kenia to be able to have a normal life and take care of her daughter. For Kenia to continue her life as a woman, mother, and professional.

Thank you for your help
